The MAN-TLE R17 Y3 Jacket in Black Master Shield is a brand new outerwear style for AW'24 constructed from Japanese Master Shield cloth. Originally developed for the British Air Force in 19th century and later approved for Japanese production and supply to Japanese defense force and coast guard, Master Shield is made using super-fine threads of 100% Giza cotton from Egypt, woven at a maximum density. When exposed to water, the fibers expand, making it impervious to rain. The use of no coatings or finishings results in a fabric that when dry, allows both sweat and water vapor to escape easily for maximum breathability.
The Y3 Jacket is a loose-fitting, slightly-cropped, hooded outerwear style cut for layering with bagged fronts and a full hood for weather protection. The jacket features unique and eye-catching slashed pockets that extend down from the arm-holes across the front, and MAN-TLE's nylon seatbelt taping with enlarged slot buttons for a sturdy closure. A truly special outdoor piece that delivers both form and function in a stripped-down, minimal package that will age gracefully.
