Nektar Collapse by Ikhoor
from Ceremonious People
Nektar Collapse by Ikhoor is an editioned publication that presents a suite of 16 reproductions of the artist's August 2020 experiments self-described as "violence against polymer clay with an AKUA pin press". Produced in collaboration with Lancaster, Pennsylvania-based print studio Risolve, Nektar Collapse uses a custom 3+1 print profile on a Risograph to beautifully render Daniel Kent's tactile experiments in black, blue, peach, and metallic gold inks. Each copy of the edition is delivered polybagged with a unique numbered metal tag and cutting of the original artwork from the series.
Ikhoor is the art and design studio practice of Daniel David Kent. The work is conceptually-based and ranges from brand identity, campaign development, publication design, and art direction, to odd visual experiments, object design, and autonomous artistic projects across a variety of platforms and disciplines. Daniel also operates Ceremonious People, a sporadic publishing imprint since 2008 that produces small editions in collaboration with designers, artists, photographers, writers, and printers.
