A Meridian shop exclusive designed in collaboration with 1733, The 16-liter Zip Tote in Plum X10 is a brand new silhouette that achieves lighter, simplified daily carry while maintaining organization and access. The adjustable handles allow for personalized preferred carry methods, either over the shoulder or in the hand. Zippered access to the main compartment keeps laptops and books protected and the two exterior pockets are ideal for small and large items that you need to access quickly. A hanging pocket in the interior adds more organization and security for smaller items.
X-PAC X10 is a high performance fabric developed by Dimension-Polyant Inc. based on racing sailcloths. A laminate sandwich of a DWR coating, #10 cotton duck canvas, an X grid for stability and strength, and nonporous film for water proofing creates a material that has more structure, durability, and water resistance than traditional woven cottons while still maintaining a classic look.
The X10 fabric used in this collection started as standard colored cotton canvas that was then soaked, bleached, and washed by hand to remove some of the pigment from the original dyeing process and create new colors and textures never seen before. Black becomes Space, Navy becomes Plum, and Olive becomes Rust. The photographed bag is a representation of the color and pattern, but each bag in the collection is entirely unique. A side effect of these processes is wrinkling of the X10 fabric but this does not have an effect on the durability or waterproofness of the material.
