The 1733 for Meridian Side Pack in Moss 210D Dyneema® Gridstop & Quartz UVX40 is a compact, fully featured sling for daily carry and beyond. Exterior attachment points and compression system are adaptive for changing loads. Internal and external pockets keep things organized and the materials and zippers keep them dry. It performs great on the trail, whether you’re biking or hiking, or on the street and in travel scenarios. All 1733 for Meridian products are made by hand in the brand's Chicago, IL studio. Carefully selected materials and hardware design ensure durable and pleasurable interactions with the bag for years to come. The Side Pack's hybrid fabric construction is inspired by the moss and rock formations commonly seen throughout the mountains of the nearby Catskill and Taconic ranges. 210D Gridstop is a lightweight woven nylon reinforced with a 6mm x 6mm ripstop grid of Dyneema® yarns giving it the effective strength of a much heavier material. This creates a textile with high abrasion and tear resistance in a flexible and lightweight package while the Polyurethane backside and DWR top coating provide a high level of water resistance. X-PAC UVX40 is a high performance fabric developed by Dimension-Polyant Inc. based on racing sailcloths. A laminate sandwich of a DWR coating, 400D ripstop face fabric made up of Dyneema® and Polyester yarns for superior abrasion resistance, an X-grid for stability and strength, a nonporous film for water proofing, and a polyester taffeta backing for durability create a material that is stronger and more waterproof than traditional woven nylons.
