COW BOOKS Container Small
from Mountain Research
Founded in 2002, COW BOOKS is the collaborative retail concept of Japanese book critic Yataro Matsuura and Mountain Research designer Setsumasa Kobayashi. COW BOOKS specializes in rare and out-of-print art and literature titles focusing on 1960's and 70s social movements, progressive politics, protest, the Beat Generation, and first editions of forgotten modern authors among other offerings. In addition to a stellar selection of titles, they are known for their quirky in-house product line of book-related clothing and home goods.
The Mountain Research COW BOOKS Container Small is a standard product of Cow Books. It is the most popular size for everyday use among the container totes that have been on sale at the shop for a long time. It is an easy-to-use bag that can hold A4 size books, files, magazines, etc. sideways. The body is made of a thick canvas with a water-repellant finish offered in the season's beautiful Sax Blue color, and is solid enough to stand up on its own. The Container features an adjustable webbing strap with metal hardware across the top of the interior to secure the load, and webbing reinforcement around the lip. The bag features the brand's "Everything For The Freedom" motto on the face in white chainstitch style puff print, and is finished with a small interior drop pocket with the COW BOOKS woven logo tag affixed to it.
